The benefits of Rafting for the body and mind

With Crazy Water at the controls, let yourself embark on the tumultuous waters to discover 5 benefits of Rafting on your physical and mental health. Strap on your life jackets, because it's going to shake!

Benefit of Rafting No. 1: working your abs while having fun

Let's start this article dedicated to benefits of Rafting on your physical and mental health with a little exercise! Who said working your abs has to be a chore? Surely by the Crazy Water team! Rafting is like doing a core session without the boredom that accompanies it. Propelling this inflatable boat through the rapids requires a lot of effort from the abdominal muscles in order to maintain balance and maneuver the raft correctly. If the abs are heavily used by the strokes of the paddle, the upper body muscles, the arms, shoulders and back are not left out. After one descent of the Ubaye, you will have done the equivalent of a good workout, adrenaline, good humor and fun too!

Benefit of Rafting No. 2: develop your cardio in aquatic roller coaster mode

Rafting is not just a adrenaline rush, it is also a real cardiovascular training. As you paddle through the rapids and weave your way between currents and rocks, the adrenaline will naturally accelerate your heart rate. Each stroke of the paddle engages the muscles in your body, increasing your heart rate and improving your cardiovascular endurance in a significative way. In addition, this intense activity allows you to burn a considerable number of calories, thus contributing to better control of your weight and a healthier lifestyle. In short, Rafting is not only an exciting adventure, it is also a great way to keep this vital organ in tip-top shape while having fun in the stormy waters.

Wonderfull family rafting experience. Just a little bit too much for my sensitive eight year old, but great overall. The river is beautiful with nice surroundings. The guide was excellent (forgot his name 🙄) and the whole team was very nice. The trip down the river took about one and a half hour with some stops. If you visit this place, your're not gonna be sorry! 👍🏻

Encore merci. Jérôme, Caroline, Charlotte et Manon.

We did two descents, one by raft and one by kayak, both with Julien as a guide. He seems totally crazy when you first meet him, but he was a great guide and made our day. Really spectacular river, with a lot of rapids and great views. We got out of the boats to swim a bit in one of the rapids and they took us to a rock where we could jump in to the water. Julien and the crew of Crazy Water are real professionals, but in for a laugh and a joke. A pity we could'n do the 'sport' descent, because of bad weather. But we sure come back. One remark; their 'bar' is quite empty, so make sure to bring your own drinks and food if you're planning to stay for a day.
