THE Hot Dog/Kayak-Raft on the Ubaye, It is aquatic and sporting activity par excellence, in the middle of the mountains. The Kayak-Raft /Hot Dog/ Kayak-Air is a unsinkable inflatable kayak which allows you to navigate high rivers, without having experience and without any particular technique! Accompanied by an instructor, Ubaye guide, you will paddle between the rocks and hurtle down the rapids of the river.

Kayak-Raft equipment
The Kayak-Raft or Hot Dog service includes all the equipment necessary for the descent of the Ubaye. You only need to bring your swimsuit for the activity, we provide you with the rest:
- Neoprene jacket and pants 3 to 5 mins
- Neoprene shoe
- Glove
- Vest and helmet
- Double paddle and kayak
We have wetsuit and kayak sizes ranging from 4 XS to 4 XL.
Hot Dog/Kayak-Raft on the Ubaye
The Barcelonnette valley is the obligatory stop for whitewater sports activities. In the program : 50 km river in a preserved and wild valley. You descend a very dynamic mountain torrent, with sequences of rapids. An instructor, Ubaye guide, accompanies you throughout the descent to supervise and advise you. Solo, in your kayak boat, we set off on a route adapted to your needs.
What is Kayak-Raft?
It’s one and the same activity! The Kayak / canoe is an inflatable and unsinkable machine. Using a double paddle, you explore the river on a very dynamic course with several quick to cross. Do not panic ! With your guide, you will quickly be independent and free to explore the smallest details of the river. The routes are located between Barcelonnette and Lake Serre-Ponçon.
What is the difference between Hot Dog and Kayak?
The Hot Dog is an unsinkable inflatable kayak, like a Kayak raft or Airboat. The only difference is that it is for 2 persons. It is a longer boat and therefore more difficult to maneuver than the 1-seater kayak. On the Ubaye river, we often recommend single-seater kayak rafting, unless you have already done it or one of the people has a good level of kayaking. The best thing to do is to ask us for advice!

The discovery course – Best of course
The Best of course is open to all people who wish to discover water activities. Accompanied by a guide specializing in Ubaye, you will discover the power of the river and exploit its riches. You face the rapids with elegance and swim in invigorating water!
During 7 km (1h30 on the water) to Lauzet, you will appreciate the magnificent setting of the valley, as well as all its rapids (class III to IV).
The sports course: descent of the Ex Infranchissables du Haut
With dexterity, you pass technical rapids, with beautiful waves, between the rocks. You slide down natural slides and feel the energy and force of the element. Through the game, you perfect your technique, your swimming and your surfing.
Where to do a whitewater sports course?
If your desire is to go whitewater, Ubaye is the one you should choose! Located in the Southern Alps, it is a legendary river for Rafting, Kayaking and Hydrospeed.
We have some route of the class III to class V (class V being extreme). They are dynamic with many rapids throughout the descent.
To discover the different activities and boats, we offer tailor-made whitewater courses. Everything is possible depending on the water levels!
THE white water sports courses can be organized over two consecutive days or over several days. We adapt your course to your availability, your physical condition and your desires!
